Overview
SUS304 (JIS Standard) is one of the most widely used versions of stainless steel, it is made up of 18% Cr (Chromium) and 8% Ni (Nickel). In high and low temperatures it can keep its heat and strength resistance, while also having great weldability, mechanical properties, cold workability and corrosion resistance at room temperature.
Steel capillary tube, called metal capillary tube, is the steel pipe with small diameter which is made by stainless steel and other alloys. The stainless capillary tube is often made with SS 316 or SS 304, which has been widely applied in industry, science, medical, space development, etc. And the reason why SUS 304 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance in the atmosphere is due to the formation of a chromium passivation film on its surface. But when SUS 304 is in a warm chloride environment, the corrosion is even faster than non-alloyed mild steel.
