Specification
ASTM A213 T9 is a standard specification for seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy-steel boiler, superheater, and heat-exchanger tubes. This specification covers grades containing ferritic and austenitic steel alloys. T9 is one of the specific grades covered under this standard.

Size Range:

  • Outer Diameter: 6-127 mm (1/4 to 5 inches)
  • Wall Thickness: 0.9-12.7 mm (0.035 to 0.5 inches)
 
Testing: Tubes shall be subjected to non-destructive tests such as eddy current test or hydrostatic test, or both.

Surface Condition: The tubes should have a smooth surface finish and should be free of defects that are detrimental to practical use.

Certification: The tubes should be certified to the applicable requirements of the current edition of Specification A 1016/A 1016M.
