Overview
ASME SA213 Grade 904L stainless steels have exceptional resistance to chloride attack and warm seawater. 904L Tubing offer excellent oxidation resistance, it can be solution heat-treated at 1090 Degree C to 1175 Degree C, after rapid cooling. Welding of Grade 904L SS Tubes can be carried out using all conventional procedures. Also referred as UNS NO8904 Pipes, they are high purity steels by means of low content in sulphur. 904l stainless tubes does not need post-weld and pre-heat heat conducts. Meanwhile, thermal treatment is suitable for hardening these grades. On the other hand, the structural constancy of stainless steel 904L collapses at soaring temperatures, mainly beyond 400 Degree C. This UNS NO8904 Tubes needs to be solution canned after cold working, for to attain maximum SCC resistance under severe atmospheres.
