Overview
Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 are solid solution strengthened, commercially pure wrought materials with good mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures and excellent resistance to many corrosives, in particular hydroxides. Nickel 201 was a modification of 200 to control carbon (.02 max) which keeps it from being embrittled by intergranular precipitates at temperatures of 600° F to 1400° F in many processes. Typically, the elemental restrictions of both, nickel 200 and nickel 201, are combined into one, dual-certified chemistry resulting in a single alloy with the desired characteristics of both alloys, Nickel 200/201.
Nickel 200 tubes are known as UNS N02200 Tubes are used extensively because the alloy is such that they are corrosion resistant, contain high-temperature strength, possess other special magnetic and thermal expansion properties. Nickel 200 Tubes are also resistant to reducing chemicals and used to handle caustic soda. Moreover, it comes with high ductility, corrosion-resistant to oxidizing agents, brilliant polish, excellent machining as well as strength at varying temperatures.
Nickel 200 Tubing is used in applications such as heat exchangers, aerospace, furnaces, condensers and other heat applications between 600° to 1400°. The product is available in various types like Nickel 200 Round Tubes, Nickel 200 Tubes, Nickel 200 Rectangular Tubes as well as Nickel 200 Hydraulic Tubes.
